Position: Head Prep Cook /Food Services Manager

Report to: Executive Corporate Chef

Tuk Tuk Thai, a busy and quickly expanding restaurant chain is looking for a professional Head Prep Cook to assist in overseeing the day-to-day Food Preparation of the Commissary Kitchen. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure quality and preparation meet the highest standards. This includes ensuring all Health and Safety procedures are followed in a clean and organized kitchen. The Head Prep Cook is also responsible for shipping and receiving of supplies. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to customer satisfaction and continued company growth.

Job Duties

· Ensure products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency along with food safety compliance:

o Preparation of Company’s main sauces

o Maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet demand

· Oversee training of prep cooks to ensure final food preparation is completed properly

· Oversee the management of inventory and stock

· Responsible for ordering and receiving raw materials

· Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Experienced in fast paced food production environment

· Alberta Health Services Food Safety Certified

· Minimum 5 years of kitchen and logistics management in the food services industry

· Thai cooking experience preferred

· English communication skills: must be proficient in both oral and written English

Wages: $20 per hour
